Rhonda - Intro

Rhonda.

Bob and I have been married 20 years. I knew he was a keeper when he was so complimentary of the cross-stitch Christmas stocking I was making at the time. I have since completed one for each member of the family. We met at the White Elephant Saloon, which seems somewhat appropriate for Texas. We have 2 sons. Reed will graduate HS this spring and Ryker will follow next year.

I’m a SAHM transitioning from Homeschool Teacher/Mom to almost empty nester. Once they start driving they are never home. I am also a Personal Organizer. There is nothing I enjoy more that someone else’s overstuffed closet or office.

I have always needed hobbies. Reading, gardening, scrapbooking, piecing quilt tops, and of course stamping! I started like Peggy Sue at a Stampin Up Party. Hooked for a while then life got in the way and I went other directions. I started again last June. I placed one order with Stampin Up and then found PTI in July and the rest is history.

So now you will find me with a Pepsi or Sonic Coke frantically trying to learn how to use my new camera or Photoshop, and blogging while spending waayyyy to much time on the internet.

I’m excited to be part of the Papertrey Peeps. Maybe I’ll even gain enough courage to submit something for a publication.

Hi Rhonda from another quilter. I hope you've gotten those tops made into finished quilts. I think there's a common thread (pun intended) among many of us - the love of color, pattern, texture - which translates so well into card making. Hope you enjoy the empty nest years as much as we did. Love each day, 'cause you never know if and when one might return!!

Hi Rhonda! So glad to read your intro and get to know a little more about you. I really envy anyone who takes on quilting. My sister-in-law is an avid quilter and I love quilts but it always seemed like an overwhelming job. i am so excited about the Peeps group. Know we will have a lot of fun. Hugs!!

Oooo, you're a personal organizer? If you lived closer to me, I could keep you b.u.s.y!! LOL :)

You should definitely submit your work... Yes, it can be scary, BUT you'll never know what can happen until you do! :)
